US Treasuries finished around today’s R1 level in a session dominated by fiscal cliff discussions and month-end flows. Treasuries have been notably more resilient to price action following commentary on the fiscal cliff from congressional leaders, although month-end related buying was observed in 5s and 10s. The NY Fed also released the latest POMO schedule which showed are to buy about USD 45bln of Treasuries in December, and sell about USD 38bln as part of Operation Twist. T-notes settled at 133.20, up 3 ticks.
