The US added the National Iranian Oil Company to its sanctions list on Thursday, having in September determined NIOC to be an "agent or affiliate" of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.
"NIOC is being designated for providing, or attempting to provide, financial, material, or other support for and services in support of the IRGC," the Department of the Treasury said.
