It has been a quiet session today for the Bund market with thin volumes being observed given the US holiday, in respect of Dr Martin Luther King JR. Pressure was observed in the early part of trade in the German 10-yr, after the Bundesbank said that the German economy has started to show signs of recovery. From the mid-point of the day, towards the latter stages, little price action was observed with only around 390K contracts being traded on the day. European market participants look forward to the key data releases during the rest of this trading week; German ZEW, various European countries Manufacturing and Services PMI data.
