WTI crude futures finished the session higher with decent gains, which marks the fourth consecutive trading day of gains for the energy component. In terms of data points, participants observed the DoE inventory figures which showed another rise in gasoline stockpiles and stand at the highest levels for 4 years. The upside today in the oil markets was attributed to a technical move higher, allied with light volumes as markets head towards the Christmas break.
